MK7 IS38 STAGE 1 The IE Stage 1 ECU calibration significantly enhances performance, fully utilizing the factory turbocharger's horsepower & torque capability while ensuring safety. Engineered to operate on entirely stock hardware and compatible with basic bolt-ons (intake, turbo inlet, intercooler). MK7 IS38 STAGE 2 IE Stage 2 software is designed for full bolt-on stock turbo builds, incorporating an aftermarket racing downpipe and catalyst. Advanced tuning strategies extract additional power and account for increased flow from upgraded hardware. Complete list of Stage 2 requirements available below. HIGH/LOW TORQUE FILES IE High Torque ECU calibrations maximize power gains throughout the powerband, surpassing torque limitations of factory DSG calibration (auto trans) or stock clutch (manual trans), preventing clutch slipping. Stage 1 and Stage 2 files include optional Low Torque files for vehicles with stock DSG tune or stock clutch. Switch between high and low torque files as desired. High Torque files require additional purchase of DSG transmission tune or clutch upgrade. INCREASED RPM Factory rev limits raised to 7000RPM in all stages to optimize the larger power band. On DSG equipped cars, transmission shifts slightly before reaching new engine RPM (6900RPM). DSG Tune required for higher RPM unlock. BRAKE BOOST Brake Boosting offers a competitive advantage in roll racing scenarios. Apply brake pressure with left foot while maintaining constant speed and throttle position to build boost at speed, resulting in rolling launch upon releasing brake pressure. EXHAUST CRACKLE Enabling Exhaust Crackle feature adds motorsport-inspired crackle sound to exhaust note during free-revving or deceleration. Flash on/off with IE POWERlink at will.
STAGE 3 GT2260S The IE Stage 3 GT2260S offers a straightforward upgrade to the bolt-on turbo, delivering power levels of up to 492HP & 500TQ on pump gas! This advanced ECU calibration, when paired with the Garrett turbocharger, HPFP upgrade, and stage 2 hardware (intake, intercooler, & downpipe), provides exceptionally fast performance and thrilling driving experiences. STAGE 3 GT2260S TRUEFLEX Stage 3 GT2260S TrueFlex utilizes a flex-fuel sensor and harness kit to unleash race gas power on a cost-effective ethanol blend, yielding a heart-pounding 490HP & 493TQ! E40 blend, the highest within fuel system limitations, offers peak performance without sacrificing power for higher E%. TrueFlex automatically adjusts between 91 octane and E40 ethanol blend. Ethanol content must not exceed the maximum E40 blend; an ethanol content sensor kit and gauge are highly recommended. GARRETT POWERMAX TURBO IE engineers selected the Garrett GT2260S for its broad powerband, increased power, and minimal turbo lag. German-engineered and backed by Garrett's reputation, this bolt-in turbo offers enhanced top-end power, smooth delivery, and responsive boost. TURBO SOLD SEPARATELY GT2260S TUNE DEVELOPMENT ADVANCED ENGINE MANAGEMENT Installation of the Garrett PowerMax GT2260S, IE Stage 3 ECU tune, and necessary hardware ensures maximum power within fuel system limits while maintaining engine integrity. IE engineers employed advanced tuning practices to develop a comprehensive engine management system tailored to the new boost profile and powerband. Rigorous real-world testing, including dyno runs, street trials, track testing, and beta community feedback, ensures optimal performance in various conditions. REAL-WORLD VERIFICATION Extensive mapping adjustments and testing iterations, spanning dyno tests, street trials, track runs, and beta testing, refine performance characteristics and maximize power gains.
